Chase Hoover verbally commits to TCU

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Chase Hoover had dozens of top college baseball programs after him but the left-handed pitcher has verbally committed to TCU.

Texas Christian University competes in the Big-12 Conference and have made four trips to the College World Series since 2014.

The San Marcos High School junior was recently named to the All-Tournament team at the Underclass Area Code Games in Atlanta where he struck out six of the ten batters that he faced.

He also played on the Trosky National Team 2022 in Surprise, Arizona over the summer.

As a sophomore for the Royals he struck out 40 of 73 batters in 19.2 innings before Covid-19 shutdown the season. His ERA was a microscopic 0.36.

Hoover is an excellent student, carrying a 4.4 grade point average.
