A strong first quarter was enough to put UCSB in the driver's seat on Senior Day

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara women's basketball jumped out to a scorching start on Saturday and stayed ahead the rest of the way.

The Gauchos opened with a 24-8 first quarter and cruised to a 55-47 win on Senior Day.

Freshman Ila Lane was unstoppable, notching 20 points and 20 rebounds for her third 20-20 performance of the season. Redshirt senior Coco Miller had seven points and senior Tal Sahar added 10 points off the bench in their final game at the Thunderdome.

The Gauchos (13-15, 8-7 Big West) finish the regular season on the road at Hawai'i on Wednesday.
