UCSB men’s soccer tops CSUN to advance to Big West Tournament Final

UCSB won its first Big West Tournament game since 2015 on Saturday night

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - After three years of one-and-done, UC Santa Barbara men's soccer got to celebrate a win in the Big West Tournament.

Rodney Michael assisted on the Gauchos' first goal and scored the second himself, as UCSB beat Cal State Northridge 2-0 at Harder Stadium on Saturday night in the Big West Tournament semifinal.

Will Baynham scored the first goal of the game, finishing Michael's ball through the box in the 24th minute. Baynham was credited with an assist on the second goal, giving the ball to Noah Billingsley who delivered an excellent cross that Michael headed home in the 29th minute.

UCSB will now play at top seed UC Davis in the Big West Tournament Final on Friday at 2 p.m.
