Ventura vehicle collision requires professional extrication, driver transported to hospital

VENTURA, Calif. – On Jan. 28 around 7:43 a.m., calls about a single vehicle crash brought fire fighters to the scene of a passenger vehicle with extensive damage and the driver in need of extraction on the corner of Telephone and Lark in Ventura.

The vehicle was stabilized and fire personnel were able to remove the trapped operator and transport them to an emergency room via ambulance.

The extent of the driver's injuries and their current status was not released.

The vehicle is known to have collided with a stop light according to Ventura City Fire Department, but the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
