Semi-truck crash causes traffic delays in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. -- Ventura CHP is cleaning up debris from a semi-truck crash that happened early Monday morning in Ventura.
At around 5:07 a.m., Ventura CHP received reports of a semi-truck crash on SR 126 east of Main Street in Ventura.
When arriving on scene, officers found that the semi-truck had veered to the right causing the truck to collide with the metal guardrail.
The truck then toppled over, coming to rest on its right side in the concrete dip.
The crash caused the truck's diesel tank to rupture and fuel ended up pooling in the dip.
CHP officers are still on scene cleaning up the area.
Due to the crash, traffic has been slow since around 5 a.m. Monday morning.
The exact cause is under investigation.
