Southbound Highway 101 traffic from Carpinteria to Ventura due to emergency response in Rincon

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – California Highway Patrol conducted an emergency response on southbound Highway 101 near the Padre Juan Canyon Rd overpass on Wednesday afternoon.

CHP said officers responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m. and shut down the left side of the southbound 101 construction split in Ventura County.

The left lane reopened around 2 p.m., according to CHP.

The incident caused traffic build-up on the southbound side, starting from the south-end of Carpinteria, as seen in the photo below.
