SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The Santa Maria Valley Chamber is offering a $100 Visa gift card to visitors who book at least two nights in a local hotel.

The Chamber says the $100 Visa card is to be used at local restaurants, breweries, wineries and attractions.

“The goal with this is to help them generate guests that would stay in the hotel and allow them to continue to operate and keep their people employed," said Glenn Morris, Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO.

The "$100 stimulus" is available now through March 31st. Bookings made before Feb. 1, 2021 will not qualify. The program was limited to the first 500 reservations, according to the Santa Maria Valley Chamber's website.

The Chamber said its program is doing so well that it now has a waitlist. The organization plans to talk with hotel owners next week to determine the next phase of the promotion.

They also remind visitors that they are expected to follow state health regulations including social distancing and wearing face masks.
