Car crash on Highway 46 requires helicopter airlift for major injury

CAMBRIA, Calif. – A helicopter lifted a patient with major injuries on July 4 due to a car crash on Highway 46 in Cambria, according to Cal Fire SLO.

A car crashed that over the side of the hill and fell 200 feet requiring the airlift and another ground ambulance to help two patients, detailed Cal Fire SLO.

Both patients were transported to the hospital as the helicopter patient had major injuries and the ambulance patient had moderate injuries, explained Cal Fire SLO.
