Lompoc Theatre renovations underway

LOMPOC, Calif. – The historic Lompoc Theatre is now a big step closer to its grand reopening.

The Lompoc Theatre has not been open to the public in 20 years.

But that will soon change. Thanks to a $150,000 matching-grant from the Chumash Tribe.

That was donated with the hope of creating a hub of entertainment in Downtown Lompoc.

The nonprofit group behind the theatre’s restoration plans to host a variety of experiences including stand-up comedy nights, cultural events, political debates, art and film festivals, holiday celebrations, and of course concerts and movies.

The theatre plans to host a 99-person audience by June of 2025. The grand reopening has been set for 2027.
