Local farmer’s markets prep for National Farmer’s Market Week

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Local organizations in the Santa Maria Valley are preparing to celebrate National Farmers Market Week.

This year, National Farmers Market Week will be from Aug. 6 through Aug. 12th.

Old Orcutt's Farmers Market organizer says it is important to enjoy the locally grown fruits and vegetables in the area.

Farmer's Markets also help the economy and the health of the community.
