Santa Maria Police arrest five in connection to series of shootings since April of last year

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Santa Maria Police Department's Detective Bureau concluded an investigation into a series of shootings, including one homicide, with the arrest of five individuals on Wednesday.

The Santa Maria Police Department details their investigation that ended on Wednesday with the arrest of four Santa Maria residents and one Nipomo resident began in April of 2022.

Charges brought against these individuals include either counts of attempted homicide or counts of being an accessory, but all were charged with an additional gang enhancement relay Santa Maria Police Department.

All five individuals have been arrested and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail where they all await further criminal proceedings detail Santa Maria Police Department.

According to Santa Maria Police Department, detectives have been in contact with the victims of the shootings as well as the families of victims about the recent arrests.
