Fire crews contain vegetation fire near Santa Maria to five acres
SISQUOC, Calif. – Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a vegetation fire in the 6000 block of Palmer Road south of Sisquoc.
As of 5:40 p.m., forward progress on the fire was stopped by responding crews at five acres burned, and requested air tankers were called off updated Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
A downed power line was initially reported at 6730 Palmer Road and the fire was reported as five acres in size, with medium to heavy fuels around, and slight wind detailed Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Three air tankers were requested by responding fire crews and a Santa Barbara County helicopter was on the scene detail Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department, Fire Station 23 noticed significant smoke in the area and called a second alarm.
