Pink week hosted by Planned Parenthood kicks off on the Central and South Coasts

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Each year, Planned Parenthood California Central Coast’s Young Advocates host a week-long fundraiser known as Pink Week.

Pink Week kicks off on the Central and South Coasts.

It is hosted by the Planned Parenthood of California Central Coast.

Some businesses across Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties.

Depending on the local business, a portion of the proceeds from a pink item of their choosing will be donated to planned parenthood.

At the Lark, if you purchase an heirloom tomato salad, 100% of the proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood.

People can go to Chocolate Maya, Topa Topa at the Funk Zone, Considered Coffee Bus, and others.

Supporters say they appreciate the health care, services, and reliable information that planned parenthood offers.

"We're out here partnering with local businesses this week. You can help support by visiting one of our local businesses,” said Special Events Coordinator Natalie Smith. “You can find that on our website. There's a whole list ranging from San Luis Obispo down to Oxnard. Come visit your local businesses, grab a beer, get a necklace, and support our cause."

Last year, more than 31,000 people received care from Planned Parenthood's Central Coast health centers.

This year's pink week runs from now through Sunday, July 23.
