Local businesses bring taste to Santa Barbara County Fair

SANTA MARIA, Calif.- Business owners are bringing tastes from nearby cities to the Santa Maria Valley all week long.

Vendors are working hard to share custom and fresh-made burgers, tacos, and barbecue dishes for food lovers of all ages.

“We're super excited to be here and be part of the local community and  trying to showcase what we have to offer," said Michael McDonald owner of The Salty Brigade Kitchen.

The fair features a community staple Santa Maria style barbecue.

"To me the most important part is the food for us. I try to talk to my customers  each time they eat and it's just super important that we have a very relaxed environment with really good food. That's what we try to do," said McDonald.

Tastes are being offered from all over California.

"It's our first year at Santa Maria and it's our second year in business. We love doing it and we love this area. We're happy to be here," said Trevyn Mullins owner of Fry Burger.

The Santa Barbara County Fair continues through Sunday.
