San Diego Police identify husband of murdered Guadalupe Woman as suspect
GUADALUPE, Calif. – San Diego Police have identified a person of interest in the murder of a Guadalupe woman Thursday night.
San Diego Police are calling the death of 32-year-old Leyva Oregel Garcia a homicide and have named her husband, 44-year-old German Armando Luna Salazar, as wanted in connection with the murder.
Salazar is 44 years old, 5'8 inches tall, and weighs around 130 pounds.
Oregel Garcia was found dead in a car near the U.S Mexico border. A security guard found her just after midnight on Tuesday in an SUV parked at an outlet mall in San Ysidro. Detectives say she suffered blunt force trauma to her upper body.
Luna Salazar was last seen leaving the area on foot. San Diego police said he may have been headed toward Mexico.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is working alongside San Diego Police Homicide Unit on the case.
