Man arrested for multiple burglaries in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Santa Maria Police Department arrested a man tied to two different burglaries in the 800 block of S. Broadway on Monday.

Around 10 a.m. on Jun. 26, Santa Maria Police officers responded to a commercial burglary in the 800 block of S. Broadway.

According to Santa Maria Police Department (SMPD), an investigation revealed the burglary occurred during the late night hours of Jun. 25 or early morning Jun. 26 and among several stolen items was a white iPhone.

Later that same Monday, but at night, around 10:11 p.m., SMPD responded to a second burglary at the same address on S. Broadway except at a different suite.

SMPD officers arrived on the scene within a minute and located a man walking out of a second story door detail SMPD.

The man was detained and found to be in possession of property from the business involved with the second burglary as well as the white iPhone from the previous burglary report SMPD officers.

The man was arrested and booked for burglary at Santa Barbara County Jail.
