Walmart on Bradley Road in Santa Maria briefly closed due to hoax shooter threat

SANTA MARIA, Calif.– A hoax phone call threatening a shooter's presence at a Walmart on Bradley Road briefly closed the store Monday afternoon, according to the Santa Maria Police Department .

An on-site News Channel 3-12 videographer reported the store at 2220 S Bradley Rd appeared to have been evacuated and spoke with employees at the store who said, the store was closed and would be reopening shortly.

The Walmart manager told law enforcement that this call was possibly apart of series of hoax phone calls.
