Patient extricated from car after rollover accident near Los Alamos, highway lanes closed
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – Both northbound Highway 101 lanes were closed following a vehicle rollover accident near Los Alamos on Tuesday morning, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The accident was reported around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 101 just north of Highway 154 near Los Olivos, according to the fire department.

A driver in an SUV hit a tree and his vehicle rolled over, according to county fire spokesman Mike Eliason.
The driver had to be extricated from the accident and it took crews 10 minutes to free him, according to Eliason. The man was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center for moderate injuries.
The fire department originally reported that it was a two-vehicle accident, but later clarified that only one car was involved and the other driver at the scene was a witness.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
