Pedestrian taken to hospital after hit by car in Santa Maria crosswalk

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Emergency officials in Santa Maria responded to Donovan Road and Western Avenue after a person was hit by a car. Police say the female victim was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center, with non-life threatening injuries.

It appears the victim was in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by the SUV. The car remained at the scene and police have marked the area as they investigate.
