One dead in Lompoc RV fire, cause under investigation

LOMPOC, Calif. - One person has died in a fire that started in an RV, according to the Lompoc City Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at the 600 block of North O Street at 12:20 a.m. Friday. They found smoke coming from a fifth-wheel trailers located in the Mobile Home Park.

Crews quickly discovered one person who was already down inside the vehicle. Lifesaving efforts were made on scene and the victim was taken to Lompoc Valley Medical Center where they later died.

Lompoc fire says no other units in the mobile home park were damaged. The fire is under investigation.
