Santa Maria offers texting program to keep community informed
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Do you live in Santa Maria and need a quick answer about events happening in your area? Just send a text!
To get started, text “HELLO” to 805-214-PLAY (7529).
You can also text keywords or phrases of things you would like to know about, including “Upcoming Events”, “Teen Programs”, “Places to Hike”, “Swim Lessons”, and “Live Chat”. Smart texting technology searches keywords to provide assistance anytime, day or night.
Department staff will also be available to answer texts during office hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
