Person flown to hospital after vehicle catches fire in Lompoc

One person was flown to the hospital for treatment of burns after a vehicle caught fire in Lompoc

LOMPOC, Calif. - One person was flown to the hospital for treatment of severe burns and smoke inhalation after the vehicle they were in caught fire early Wednesday morning in Lompoc.

The Lompoc Fire Department responded to the 600 block of West Ocean Way at around 6:50 a.m. for a report of a vehicle fire.

A fire broke out inside of a parked vehicle and flames spread to two adjacent vehicles. Fire crews were able to put out the fire before it spread to any additional vehicles or a nearby business.

One person who was in the vehicle was flown to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is currently unclear.
