Additional coronavirus-related death reported in Santa Barbara County

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department reported another coronavirus-related death on Thursday.

According to the county, this individual was over 70 years of age and suffered from underlying health conditions. They were a resident of Lompoc and the communities of Mission Hills and Vandenberg Village.

As a reminder, the county only reports deaths when a death certificate has been processed which lists COVID-19 as a cause or a significant condition.

As of Thursday, there are 7,951 total COVID-19 cases in the county. 52 people are currently hospitalized, 22 of which are in the ICU.
