Local teen, infant daughter missing; Police look for 30-year-old alleged father

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A Santa Maria teenager and her infant daughter are missing. Police saying they are "at risk" and possibly with the baby's father.

Elena Garcia, 17, and 6-month-old Paola Ponce Garcia were last seen Sunday evening on the 1500 block of S. Wallis Avenue. Police believe the two may be with 30-year-old Jaime Ponce, who is allegedly the father of the child.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Elena Garcia, Paola Garcia, or Jaime Ponce is strongly encouraged to contact the Santa Maria Police Department at (805) 928-3781, ext. 2277.
