Santa Maria Fire Department hosts parade to honor healthcare workers

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- The Santa Maria Fire Department will be parading around Marian Regional Medical Center Friday afternoon to show their appreciation for healthcare workers.

The department will also hold a tri-tip barbecue to support to the staff.

The first responders that will be a part of the parade include Santa Maria Fire Department, Santa Maria Police Department, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, American Medical Response, probation and FBI.

The agencies will pause for the ringing of the bells in the tower at noon and convoy around Marian Extended Care Center and Mission Hope Cancer Center, sounding their sirens and horns.

The first responders will parade around the front entrance between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
