For the first time, Lobster Jo’s Beach Camp has expanded to Goleta Beach to make it more accessible for families in that area.

“I’m excited because it’s way closer to my house and I don’t have to wake up so early," said participant Samantha Jupille of Lobster Jo's Beach Camp.

Goleta parents are thrilled about the added new location.

“My daughter has been going to lobster Joe’s camp since they open in 2021 … and we’ve been going downtown the whole time … and when he opening Goleta since we live here … it’s much more convenient for us and she’s loved the camps," said parent Rob Jupille of Lobster Jo's Beach Camp.

While some activities are not for everyone, kids can still sign up for the camp throughout out the summer.

And it’s affordable.

“Very inexpensive in the world of childcare ... comes out to around $8.50 an hour and the parents are super happy and loving it and I just wanna spread the word of a new summer camp here in Goleta," said Joseph Evers, known as "Lobster Jo" and founder of the camp.

"You can go in the water ... we can build a sand castle. We can do anything," said Razo.

Lobster Jo’s summers camp ends August 15th.

The camp offers skating at the waterfront, art in the FunkZone, beach play at Stern's wharf, and adventures in Goleta's newest parks.
