Firefighters responded to vehicle fire northeast of Carpinteria on Highway 192 Thursday
CARPINTERIA, Calif. – Fire crews with Montecito Fire responded to a vehicle fire which resulted in a hard closure of parts of Highway 192 Thursday morning.
No injuries were reported and Highway 192 was closed from Casitas Pass Road to Foothill detail Montecito Fire.
According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Page, the van was at one point fully engulfed but by the end of the response, the fire damage was concentrated towards the front of the vehicle.
No timeframe was provided on the hard closure and fire crews are likely to remain on the scene on the right-hand shoulder of Highway 192 as part of the response.
