SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) installed Rob L. Fredericks, the Executive Director/CEO for the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara, as a NAHRO fellow.

The Housing Authority said this recognition highlights Fredericks' "longstanding commitment to enhancing housing conditions and fostering sustainability for the Santa Barbara community."

According to organizers, this "NAHRO Fellowship recognizes individuals who, over a sustained period, have demonstrated unwavering commitment to improving housing conditions for their fellow citizens and the viability of the communities they serve."

This recognition will allow Fredericks to use the designation "NAHRO Fellow" after his name, and may see him engage in mentoring activities and provide service to NAHRO and its members, according to the Housing Authority.

"Rob’s dedication to the people and community of Santa Barbara has been unyielding," said Pat Wheatley, Housing Authority Commission Chair. "This honor from NAHRO validates the impactful work he’s done, and we couldn’t be prouder."
