The program was designed to address the community's need for accessible transit between the waterfront, Funk Zone, hotels, and downtown locations.

Running Friday through Monday, the Visitor Trolley starts its route at 11 a.m. until its final departure at 4:30 p.m.

The journey begins and ends at the Hotel Californian, chugging throughout south county until 5 p.m.

To hop aboard, tickets for the Santa Barbara Visitor Trolley can be purchased at the State Street Visitor Center for $1. Otherwise, passengers can contribute $1 to the trolley's collection box.

Payments made on the trolley are cash only with no change back. The visitor center accepts both cash and card payments.

The program strives to educate the community on transportation needs as well as business concerns near downtown Santa Barbara.
