Nurses honored following end of popular at-home “Welcome Every Baby” program in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – A popular at-home nurse program for new Santa Barbara families is ending due to lack of funding.

The program is called Welcome Every Baby (WEB) and it is a part of the Santa Barbara County education office Children and family resource program.

Many moms have expressed their sadness that this program is ending, saying that it will leave a huge need in the community unfulfilled.

Tuesday, people will be coming together to celebrate the nurses that have been a part of this 22 year long program.

News Channel 3-12's Mina Wahab will be speaking to both nurses and mothers about the impact WEB has had on their lives.
