Santa Barbara City Fire knock down structure fire on Carpinteria Avenue early Friday morning

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Barbara City Fire Department responded to a structure fire near 701 Carpinteria Avenue around 3 a.m. Friday morning.

No injuries have been reported and the fire was fully contained within 40 minutes detail Santa Barbara City Fire Department.

According to Santa Barbara City Fire Department, the initial call of the fire came from an alert Santa Barbara Police Department patrol officer and responding fire crews discovered a heavy fire triggering a call for two additional engines as part of the response.

Despite issues with access in the largely commercial area, crews limited the spread from impacting adjacent businesses explained Santa Barbara City Fire Department.
