Two arrested in Goleta for 20 stolen catalytic converters

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested two men for the theft of 20 catalytic converters recovered in a traffic stop around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

A 25-year-old from Van Nuys and a 27-year-old from Glendale were driving near Los Carneros Road and Castilian when a deputy conducted a traffic stop discovering 20 catalytic converters, a floor jack, and an impact drill inside the car.

Both have been arrested for grand theft, possession of burglary tools and of stolen property, and conspiracy. They were arrested and booked at the Main Jail on a $20,000 bail.
