Patterson Avenue south of Highway 101 closed due to fallen tree

GOLETA, Calif. – A large tree fell around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 and took two power line poles with it, closing Patterson Avenue from Hollister Avenue to the 101 Freeway.

No injuries have been reported.

Power was severed, but has been restored to the immediate area.

Crews are on scene to remove the tree and replace the downed power poles.

UPDATE: Patterson Avenue is fully open and traffic signals are operating normally as of 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 16.

Repair crew work through the night to remove the fallen tree, replace the two power poles and open the roadway for traffic.
