Santa Barbara’s Police Activities League hosts annual Winter Wonderland holiday event

Santa Barbara Police Activities League

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Police Activities League hosted its 22nd annual Winter Wonderland event with 176 kids each receiving personalized gifts, face-painting and a meeting with Santa.

The 72 local families looking to brighten their holiday season celebrations joined the PAL on Dec. 15 at the Carousel House and enjoyed a meal catered by El Pastorcito Taqueria.

Every child in attendance received a wrapped holiday gift, mostly sponsored by Santa Barbara Police Department employees with some help from community members and the District Attorney's office.

Local police officers served dinner, listened to a DJ and spent the evening with families selected because they are facing grief or loss, single parent homes without familial support and some that have recently become homeless.
