Santa Barbara county inmates receive gift bags with everyday items ahead of the holidays

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.– Over 800 gift bags filled with ramen, chocolate, shampoo, cookies, and other everyday necessities were donated and distributed by local religious groups in partnership with the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office Programs Unit.

Volunteers from the SB Sheriff's Chaplain program alongside Impact Ministry donated and assembled the items to be distributed to inmates and prison staff at the Santa Barbara County Jail and Northern Branch Jail.

This is the fifth year religious organizations in the community have donated goodie bags filled with lost luxuries for prison inmates ahead of the holidays.
