Construction continues on STEAM and Media building for Dos Pueblos High School students

GOLETA, Calif. - Dos Pueblos High School continues construction on a "STEAM" building for students.

The goal is to give students more opportunities in their education.

This project will serve three Career Technical Education programs.

Teachers and leaders guiding this project say there is a need for more people in fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, otherwise known as ‘STEAM.’

Currently, 400 students are enrolled in ‘STEAM’ at Dos Pueblos High School.

These new facilities will serve 1,000 students, which is approximately half of the student population.

Some on campus say they are thrilled about this new opportunity.

“I am so excited that we have a place to show off and expand our projects with the community and kids,” said Leyla Bultan.

The building is expected to be completed by spring 2023.
