As our area is faced with ongoing changes due to a growing pandemic, we are bringing stories of people doing good in the community during a time of uncertainty.

Help us look for the helpers!

Song for a Cause

A young girl writes and sings a song about being able see loved ones again during the pandemic.

Anja Firestone, 9, from Santa Barbara wrote and recorded a song called Together Again.

The song is about missing family and friends during the pandemic.

She says the song is very important during the holidays.

This holiday is like no other with a stay-at-home order keeping everyone from seeing their friends and family.

Anja says the proceeds from the downloads of her song will support families that are facing food insecurity.

The money will go to an organization called Duo More.

Duo More is a food preparing company that has been preparing meals for those in need. They have been providing food to families since the pandemic began through their catering.

Anja says it is important to make sure that no one goes hungry, especially during the holidays.

You can find Anja's song on iTunes and other streaming platforms.
