Shandon resident arrested Monday morning for stabbing two people
SHANDON, Calif. – A 31-year-old Shandon man was arrested early Monday morning for stabbing two people Sunday evening resulting in the death of one of the people.
Around 9:23 p.m. on Sunday, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received a call from a man reporting that he and his wife had been stabbed multiple times in the 200 block of South Second Street in Shandon.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene and airlifted the male caller to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he is currently in stable condition detail San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
According to San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, after an investigation it was determined that the 31-year-old man arrested Monday morning was a family member of the two stabbing victims.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office formed a search perimeter, used a drone and a California Highway Patrol helicopter, and a reverse 911 call to alert area residents to shelter in place during their search detail San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
According to San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, the 31-year-old man was located and arrested without incident around 3 a.m. Monday.
The man is being held at San Luis Obispo County Jail on a no-bail warrant for homicide.
