SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – Tenet Healthcare workers and their union representatives walked a picket line Tuesday seeking public support for ongoing new contract negotiations with the major healthcare provider which operates several hospitals in California including Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.

The hospital workers who walked the picket line said Tenet Healthcare must hire more doctors, nurses, clinical and support workers to deal with a staffing shortage made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic and worker burnout.

Other pickets and worker protests are planned this month at Tenet Healthcare facilities in California.
