Morro Bay Community Center opens as shelter for displaced residents

MORRO BAY, Calif.– Morro Bay Community Center is set to open as a shelter for displaced residents impacted by recent storms from Jan. 20 to Jan. 24.

The shelter will open at 2:00 p.m. Friday for all residents unable to safely access or live in their homes due to the storm. Located at 1001 Kennedy Way county, city, and Red Cross services have combined efforts to assist in long-term storm recovery.
