Grover Beach police conducting death investigation of two adults found in a hotel room

GROVER BEACH, Calif. – Grover Beach Police officers were assisting with an eviction at the Seaview Inn around 1:09 p.m. on Jan 14 when they discovered the bodies of two adults, a 37 year old woman and a 40 year old man.

GBPD detectives and the San Luis Obispo County Coroner's Office began a death investigation.

During the investigation there was no evidence of violence, but there was what police believe to be illegal drugs and that is believed to have factored into the fate of the occupants.

An official cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.

The identities of the two people are being withheld by police until their families have been contacted.
