South County Warming Center opens Wednesday and Thursday night as more rain is expected

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif.– South County Regional Center at 800 West Branch St. will open as an overnight warming center Wednesday and Thursday night as a storm hits the central coast.

The 5Cities Homeless Coalition provides those spending the night with a hot meal and dry sheltered place to sleep in the rain. All are welcome including families. Sobriety is not a requirement for entry but no substances are allowed on the presences.

5Cities Homeless Coalition offers the following transportation system.

Transportation Wednesday:

  • Oceano duck pond at 5:15PM
  • Ramona Park at 5:25 PM
  • Fin’s Restaurant at 5:35 PM
  • St. Anthony’s in Pismo at 5:45 PM
  • Pismo Outlet bus stop at 5:55 PM
  • Arrive at South County Regional Center 6:15 PM

Thursday & Friday morning Transportation:

  • Pickup at South County Regional Center at 7:30 AM
  • Drop off at the outlet bus stop at 7:40 AM
  • Drop off at St. Anthony’s at 7:50 AM
  • Drop off at Fin’s Restaurant at 8:00 AM
  • Drop off at Ramona Park at 8:10 AM
  • Drop off at Oceano Duck Pond at 8:20 AM
