South County Warming Center open tonight as temporary shelter from rainstorms
ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. – The South County Regional Center is open for the night of Dec. 31 as a temporary shelter from the rain.
The warming center is at 800 West Branch St. in Arroyo Grande.
Overnight guests are asked not to arrive before 5:30 p.m. and come no later than 8 p.m. The center will close as a warming center the following morning, Sunday Jan. 1 at 7 a.m.
Meals, sleeping cots and assistance services are available for those that stay the night.
Sobriety is not required to enter, but no drugs or alcohol are allowed on site and the center does not accept pets.
Transportation is available to the center from the following pickup spots:
- Pickup at Oceano duck pond at 5:45PM
- Pickup at Ramona Park at 5:55 PM
- Pickup at Fin’s Restaurant at 6:05 PM
- Pickup at St. Anthony’s at 6:15 PM
- Pickup at the Outlet bus stop at 6:25 PM
- Drop off at South County Regional Center 6:35 PM
On Jan. 1, transportation to the following locations is provided:
- Pickup at South County Regional Center at 7:00 AM
- Drop off at the outlet bus stop at 7:10 AM
- Drop off at St. Anthony’s at 7:20 AM
- Drop off at Fin’s Restaurant at 7:30 AM
- Drop off at Ramona Park at 7:40 AM
- Drop off at Oceano Duck Pond at 7:50 AM
