San Luis Obispo County alerts residents of potential flash floods as rain continues

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.– San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services urges residents to be alert and on the lookout for flooding as rainfall continues Thursday.

Residents living near bodies of water like creeks or streams are at the highest risk of flash floods and damage. SLO officials encourage residents in high-risk flood areas to equip their homes with sandbags, have an evacuation plan, and stay ready to respond if necessary.
