12 Days of free parking in downtown SLO
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.– San Luis Obispo County offers free parking in downtown parking structures from Dec. 24 to Dec. 26 along with News Year's Eve and Day.
Those that park in downtown SLO structures beginning Dec. 24 will not have to pay as a gift from the county to residents, locals, and those visiting family this holiday season.
Some county officials hope the zero fee to park will bring more activity to the downtown area this season.
“We hope that the 12 days of free parking we’ve offered this season brighten everyone’s holidays and spark new habits of starting with the structures. It’s cheaper, and the time spent driving around looking for on-street parking could be spent walking the block from the structure to your destination, "said Gaven Hussey, Parking Program Manager for the City of San Luis Obispo.
Free parking will only be offered at the three following downtown parking structures:
- 842 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401
- 919 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401
- 871 Marsh Street, San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401
