SLO police find no evidence of explosive devices after serving search warrant at home

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo Police Department served search warrants at a home on the 600 block of Grande Avenue on Wednesday.

Police said they received information about a man who was in possession of a bomb making material.

Police contacted the man and served a search warrant at his apartment. Neighbors were evacuated and Garfield Street was closed during the search.

SLOPD, assisted by the San Luis Obispo County Bomb Task Force, searched the apartment and found no evidence of explosive materials or bomb-making equipment. The resident cooperated throughout the search, police said.

No arrests have been made and police say they are continuing to examine evidence to determine if any crimes have been committed.

All streets were eventually reopened.
