SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara Police department working with specialists were able to get assistance to a man believed to be at risk and in need of social service help Tuesday morning on the Douglas Family Preserve.

The police department sent several units to the area and joined park rangers on the property about 10:30 a.m.

They were also assisted below the bluff top property by the Harbor Patrol.

A police official said the man was near the edge of the property and was willing to cooperate with responding officers without an incident.

Many people were in the area at the time exercising and walking dogs but the property was not closed down.
