Santa Barbara County Association of Governments

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Measure A Citizens Oversight Committee is currently accepting applications for two individuals wanting to get involved in the community leadership opportunity.

One position will represent the county as a region while the other will represent southern Santa Barbara County between Gaviota and Carpinteria.

Positions are overseen by the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG). The committee is responsible for providing accountability for the $1.6 billion in potential expenditures through Measure A, a transportation sales tax fund providing funding through 2040.

Committee members are a part of regional transportation efforts such as relieving traffic congestion and improving public safety.

Applications are available until August 13 and can be found here.
