Herb Day: Honoring the creator of McDonald’s Egg McMuffin, giving back during pandemic

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Egg McMuffin was first created in Santa Barbara by a man named Herb Peterson, a local McDonald's franchise owner.

Peterson's creation changed breakfast forever and every year his son honors his father and joins The Morning News to talk about Herb Day.

This year, David Peterson said the local McDonald's franchise is giving back in a special way during the pandemic.
