GOLETA, Calif. (KEYT) — A colorful tribute to Goleta’s past is coming to the corner of Hollister and Kellogg avenues in Old Town.

Local artist Curtis Crawshaw is creating a mural inspired by the city’s history and traditions.

Crawshaw, owner of Foundation Press Design and Print Studio, designed the artwork specifically for the location.

The project is intended as a gift to Goleta, bringing a fresh look to a neighborhood known for its local businesses and longtime community connections.

Residents and supporters have rallied around the effort as the painting progresses.

Once complete, the artwork will offer a new public display celebrating the area’s identity.

The mural is expected to be finished within the next month, adding a colorful landmark for people passing through Old Town.
